As the Leisure Business Coordinator, you will be tasked to oversee the day to day operations associated with programs and activities conducted at the Town of Port Hedland leisure facilities. You will also be responsible for the administration of customer service, bookings and business processes of all The Town of Port Hedland leisure facilities.
You will be required to provide strong leadership and to lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplined team of full time, part time and casual staff. This is a position whereby your interpersonal skills both verbal and non-verbal are required to effectively communicate, interact and work with individuals and groups.
The ideal candidate would have proven leadership skills and a willingness to take the initiative and a mind open to new challenges. There will be a lot of variation of tasks in this position and you will need the proven skill to multi-task and make decisions quickly. You will also need a sense of humour.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Formal qualifications and demonstrated experience in Recreation, Business Administration or similar
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
- Hold a current national “C” class driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children
- National Police Clearance
