Tickford Racing is an elite, championship-winning motorsport team competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. The team fields four Supercars in the championship and is responsible for the design, manufacturing, construction and maintenance of each of its cars, which race regularly throughout Australia and New Zealand each year.
The Commercial Sales & Sponsorship Manager will research, identify, contact and secure new sponsorship revenue in an effective and profitable manner. Reporting to the General Manager - Commercial, this senior position plays a pivotal role in the success of the business by ensuring new business opportunities and profit potential are maximised whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing sponsors to leverage brand exposure.
To be successful in this role you should be of a creative yet resilient nature, with strong consultative and decision-making skills. As this role will be working closely with executive management it is important you have a can-do attitude and are driven to succeed while relentlessly pursuing and negotiating high net-worth business opportunities.
You will have a proven track record of securing and managing commercial and/or sponsorship contracts and have an understanding of professional sport business. A proven background in leading and influencing people is essential, as is the ability to present to and engage with a diverse range of key stakeholders (internal and external).
