We are looking for a Media & Communications Advisor with impressive communications skills who has a strong understanding of the sports media landscape in Australia. You will have the ability to communicate and influence people at all levels within the organisation, as well as our commercial partners.
As the Media & Communications Advisor you will be able to develop proactive and engaging new media and communications initiatives across the sport for a range of audiences.
You will also look to identify opportunities within the sport to ‘tell our story’ 365 days of the year.
Who we’re looking for someone who:
Can help shape the external brand and reputation of Swimming Australia across traditional media, broadcasting and digital channels in a way that represents our strategy and values.
Will prepare media and internal communications content representing high performance, participation, commercial, consumer and fan engagement; and respond to media queries.
Can develop media and communications content to promote the sport, participation programs and events across our websites, social media and apps.
Displays exceptional written and editorial skills.
Has a strong attention to detail and experience working on multiple projects, simultaneously.
Has minimum 3+ years’ experience and knowledge working in a communications environment, preferably in sport.
Is a self-starter with an ability to work autonomously at times whilst also working seamlessly as part of a team.
